Andy has worldwide responsibility for NBAD’s bond and loan businesses across conventional and Islamic products. He is based in Abu Dhabi. With more than 20 years experience in international debt markets, Andy was previously Head of Cross-Border DCM at BofA Merrill Lynch before which he was Co-Head of Asia-Pacific Debt Finance at HSBC and Head of Asian Fixed Income Origination and Syndicate at Standard Chartered. He has worked in New York, London and Hong Kong.

Andy has bookrun in excess of USD300 billion of fundraisings and has been involved in the development of Andy has bookrun in excess of USD400 billion of benchmark fundraisings for many of the world’s most sophisticated borrowers including BP, EIB, Etisalat, Ford, GE, Hutchison Whampoa, IPIC, KDB, Mubadala, Petronas, Vodafone, Westpac and World Bank. He has been involved in the development of international Sukuk since the market’s inception, bookrunning the first-ever global Sukuk in 2002, and has led multiple landmark Sukuk including for Dubai, ECGD, Garuda, Goldman Sachs, Hong Kong, IFC, IFFIm, Malaysia, Pakistan, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah and the UK.
