Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI)
The CISI is the largest and most widely respected professional body for the securities and investment sectors in the UK and in a growing number of financial centres globally. The CISI was formed in 1992 and now has a global community of 47,000 members in over 100 countries. In 2022, more than 34,000 CISI exams were sat in 91 countries, including 13,000 taken outside the UK.
We launched the first Islamic Finance Qualification (IFQ) in the UK in 2007. Our IFQ is a global qualification which covers Islamic finance from both a technical and a Sharia’a perspective. Developed by industry experts, the qualification is designed to equip candidates for early success in this rapidly developing field. It provides an understanding of the influence of Sharia’a in a business context and prepares candidates to hold key positions in the Islamic finance and takaful sectors. Membership of the CISI also provides dedicated Continuing Professional Development opportunities for our members globally.
