Khaled Mohammed Al-Aboodi is the Chief Executive Officer of the Islamic Corporation of the Private Sector, the private sector arm of Islamic Development Bank Group (IDB), since 2007. He has over 35 years of experience serving the developing finance industry in the Middle East and the US. Mr Al-Aboodi joined the Group in 2001 as its Deputy Director from the Saudi Public Investment Fund, where he served as a senior economist. Prior to this, he had been Alternate Executive Director for Saudi Arabia at the World Bank Board for five years after he joined the World Bank in Washington DC in 1995 as an assistant to the Saudi Executive Director. Mr Al-Aboodi started his career at the Ministry of Finance & National Economy of Saudi Arabia in 1982 as an economic researcher before serving as Director of the Environment Unit and Acting Director of its International Financial Institutions Department.
